News: NATO sharpens technological edge with innovation initiatives, 07-Apr.-2022
NATO Allies are launching a ground-breaking initiative to sharpen the Alliance’s technological edge. On Thursday (7 April 2022), Allied foreign ministers accredited the Charter of the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic – or DIANA. “Working with the private sector and academia, Allies will assure that we can harness the best of new technological know-how for transatlantic stability,” explained NATO Secretary Basic Jens Stoltenberg.
DIANA will deliver defence staff jointly with the Alliance’s best and brightest get started-ups, scientific scientists, and technological innovation organizations to solve important defence and protection issues. Innovators participating in DIANA’s courses will get accessibility to its community of dozens of accelerator sites and examination centres throughout additional than 20 Allies. NATO leaders agreed that DIANA would have a regional office environment in Europe and in North America. DIANA’s European regional business was chosen from a joint Estonian-United Kingdom bid, and Canada is actively hunting at internet hosting the North American regional office environment.
